Primary weave, of which the binding points do not touch and are regularly transplanted. Each warp thread and each weft has only a single alternation in the weave and otherwise its repeat is the same in both the warp and the weft. Atlas/satin weaves are numbered in sequence. Among the most important a. derivatives are broken satin, , atlas weave construction with pieced-up points , two-step sateen , shaded sateen and reinforced satin.
