Bandura (mechanical texturising)

special mechanical working of [[101366|fabrics]] and [[100965|knitted fabrics]] from synthetic fibres, by which the surfaces of these attain a fine, plastic, elastic and opaque structure. This finish is applied by a special machine which comprises a heating roller and water and stripping plate. By turning the roller the cloth is squeezed into a conical narrowing between the roller and the water plate, and is thus shaped.
