Bourette (silk) yarn

[[100367|silky]] fabric with a coarse, rustic, lustreless surface; single-coloured, most commonly in an unbleached, natural colour. Woven in [[100954|linen]] weave from coarse, uneven yarn from natural silk waste. The name is derived from the type of [[100124|bourette]] silk yarn used. Is suitable for ladies' clothing - notably dresses, suits, blouses - and for a wide variety of sportswear (including men's).
