Broadcloth

cotton fabric with a plain, highly lustrous surface. Is midweight, thick-sett and produced from fine, sharply twisted warp yarns; the weft yarns are more loosely twisted and soft; in weft satin weave. Often in black, but may also be in bold and pastel shades. Used for gym shorts / gym trousers, work coats, aprons and quilted blankets.
