Butcher's clothing pepita

cotton or flaxen starched fabric in combination with a cotton warp and flaxen weft yarn; in linen or (in isolated cases)twill weave. Its characteristic pepito pattern is achieved by the warping and throwing of different colours of yarn in a ratio of 4:4; the size of the pattern is dependent on this relation and the fineness of the yarn. This fabric is used for the workwear of butchers and chefs.
