Typically used in sport-type suits, with the jacket in a fabric made from carded yarn and the trousers in a fabric made from worsted yarn. A c. s. can also be composed of a wind-cheater and trousers. In the 1990s the c. s. became fashionable in menswear; one fashionable fabric was used in the jacket, another in the trousers.
