Crepe Marocain

heavyweight silk fabricwith noticeable diagonal corrugated ribbing achieved by using an S twist and a Z twist in the weft in a ratio of 2:2, and a dense pick in the warp. Original c. M. from natural silk has grege in the warp and chappe silk yarnin the weft. Semi-silk c. M. has sharp-twisted cotton or woollen yarn in the warp. Used for linings and ladies' dresses.
