Culottes; divided skirt

wide trousers which commonly reach to the knee. The front and back of the garment are so designed that it forms a perfect "S" when the wearer is walking. Depending on the cut c. can be multifold, ruffled or pleated. Their length is adapted to meet the demands of fashion. This type of sports-style clothing was first worn around 1930.
