Double pick fabric

mostly cotton, sometimes wool voluminous fabric, which is soft to the touch and whose back side is combed. In its production, one warp and two wefts are used. The face and back sides are of the same weave, but the colour of the wefts differs, so that the weft on the face side patterns one colour and the weft on the back side two colours. The binding points of the warp and the weft must cover each other so that they do not show through. D. p. f. is used in the production of dressing gowns, housecoats, etc.
