Drap; see drap

fine, soft[[101499|wool fabric]] of worsted yarn, in indistict [[100497|twill weave]] and with a finish of fulled fine-pile cloth. In its more lightweight form is used for ladies' dresses; if more heavyweight (sometimes in a combination of worsted and carded yarns) is used for men's formal suits and coats. The name is derived from the French "drap", which means "cloth".
