Embroidery cloths

derived from a [[101582|(Panama-like fabric)plain]]weave by the insertion of one derived linen weave into another, creating larger open places in the warp and weft to give a characteristic cagework effect. E. c. is reversible and is used in the fabrics of ladies' dresses and in particular for fabrics for embroidery, which are reinforced for this purpose.
