Embroidery cloths

derived from a (Panama-like fabric)plainweave by the insertion of one derived linen weave into another, creating larger open places in the warp and weft to give a characteristic cagework effect. E. c. is reversible and is used in the fabrics of ladies' dresses and in particular for fabrics for embroidery, which are reinforced for this purpose.
