False uni (2)

patterned fabric which appears to be of a single colour; its colours are discreetly matched or a pattern is used of small, subtle motifs, which may be of the same or different colours. The name is derived from the French "faux uni" - a false unity, i.e. a pattern of subtle conception, giving the impression of a single-colour fabric.
