Feather shag; long-pile shag

heavyweight silk plush with a lustrous pile of a length of 5-8 mm, laid at an angle and levelled in one direction. Produced from silk of medium fineness in the pile warp and cotton yarn of medium fineness in the base warp and weft. Woven by warp-knitted-velvet technique with two warps. Used for the covering of hats.
