Floconné

heavyweight [[101499|wool fabric]] which is soft to the [[100849|touch]] and has a relief-pile, flocked surface, which conceals the weave and by repeated combing forms a free, flat-lying weft. Produced from carded yarn by double-fabric technique. Used for men's winter coats and ladies' coats. The name is derived from the French "flocon" - flake. The oft-used term[[100152|Crombie]] is the registered trademark name of the original producer.
