Fresco

light- or midweight, grainy, porous and resilient wool fabric, which is somewhat rough to the touch and has a distinctive linen-weavestructure. Woven from worsted and fine carded yarns which are sharply turned and twice or three times twisted; often in mouliné. Used for men's suits. The name is derived from the Italian "fresco" (wall painting) because of its grainy surface.
