Golf(ing) hose

narrow sports trousers which reach to below the knee, where they are fastened by one of various means. They are similar to [[101070|knee breeches]], but shorter and not hitched-up. Originally worn for the playing of golf, hence their name. Popular for hiking and general sports wear.
