Granité

[[100367|silk]] and [[101499|wool fabric]] which is somewhat stiff to the [[100849|touch]] and has a grainy surface which forms fine geometric, pebble-effect figures; in [[100497|twill weave]]. Used for ladies' dresses, blouses and - in heavyweight fabric form - for summer coats. Its name is derived from the French "granite" ("grainy"}, which describes the appearance of the fabric surface.
