Half belt
short ornamental belt, positioned in the waistband of the rear part of a coat. May have one or more than one part. Apart from its decorative function, also serves to adjust the garment at the waist. We distinguish between the integrated half belt, which is stitched on or otherwise attached at the waist to the rear part of the coat in its whole circumference, and the free half belt, sewn or strapped against the side seams with non-attached edges in the length.
