Knitted plush; knitted velveteen (3)

warp knit created by cutting and produced on a two-bed warp machine, where one-face ground knits are formed on both beds and joined by means of plush yarns in a reversible weave. After knitting, the knit is cut up transversely, thus creating two independent knits with a pile surface. Certain types of this k. p. are finished by shearing or grinding. Used in a wide range of underwear, knitwear, etc.
