Moiré finish

used on [[100367|silk]] fabrics and created by means of a special calender, achieving on the fabric surface a subtle luminous effect and patterns which resemble watermarks or marble. These fabrics are used for garment linings, furniture coverings, ornamentation, ribbons, and (in certain renderings) for ladies' dresses.
