Montagnac

soft, thick, heavyweight [[101499|woollen fabric]], with a fine curled surface which forms small tufts; produced on a ratteening machine. Is woven from carded yarns, often with the use of cashmere wool or [[101461|camel hair]], by three-pick weaving technique. Used for ladies' and men's winter coats. The name is given by the inventor of the weave used with this fabric, produced from yarns with an admixture of cashmere or camel hair.
