Nightclothes

Clothing designed to be worn while sleeping. In Europe it has been used since late Middle Ages, first nightgowns though regular shirts are also worn. Generally, the nightgown is used not sooner than in 19th century when pyjamas slowly become popular, too. Today's lady's nigh clothes can be complemented by a robe or negligee. Baby sleeping bags are designed for infants and toddlers.
