Palm Beach

lightweight woollen fabric which is somewhat rough to the touch. Produced from fine, multi-twist worsted yarns in linen weave, typically in light, somewhat coarse melanges. Used for men's summer suits and trousers, and for ladies' summer dresses and suits. The name "Palm Beach" is given by the coastal bathing centre in the USA; it is a registered trademark of the Palm Beach Company, Inc.
