Piqué weave (1)

midweight cotton fabric which is somewhat stiff to the touch, with a geometric pattern in relief created in a honeycomb weave. Produced from fine yarn on the face, medium-fine yarn for the thread of the stitches, and coarser yarn for the laid-in threads. Used for blouses, dresses, and fashion accessories (eg., collars).
