A chenille cloth in the form of thin, latticed fabric from carded yarn is woven on a loom, providing the possibility of patterning and a fleece of 100% viscose staple fibre on a carding machine. This textile fabric, intended for use in low-cost childrenswear (particularly coats) was popularly produced in the 1960s.
