Racked pattern

reversible weft knit, in which patterning is performed after the setting of one of the beds is shifted by one or more than one pitch. The stitches are laid in at an angle (a range of configurations is possible), which is a feature of this type of p. Often used with weft tuck-stitch weaves. Its application is in outer garments.
