Reinforced satin

derived satin weave created by the adding of binding points to the basic broken or two-step sateen weaves along the warp or the weft. These weaves are used in woollen fabrics (covercoats - with five-end reinforcement and two warp binding points; and in cotton fabrics (duvetines) - eight-end r. s. with one warp binding point.
