Size (of a garment)
gives in the form of a number a specification of the size of a ready-made or half-finished garment. Dimensions are given in centimetres for the length, width and circumference of certain pieces of a garment. It is important that suppliers keep to recognized sizing, especially in the production industry, where it is used in standardisation.
