Twists

woollen fabric which is sharp to the touch and generally in a heavyweight rendering; has a grainy, porous surface. Produced from worsted yarns of more than one colour, which are twisted three times. Is typically in twill and also in linen weave. The fabric is used to produce men's sports-style suits. The name is given by the English "twist", which expresses the connection with the sharp-twisted yarn used in the production of this fabric.
