Twists

[[101499|woollen fabric]] which is sharp to the [[100849|touch]] and generally in a heavyweight rendering; has a grainy, porous surface. Produced from worsted yarns of more than one colour, which are twisted three times. Is typically in [[100497|twill]] and also in linen weave. The fabric is used to produce men's sports-style suits. The name is given by the English "twist", which expresses the connection with the sharp-twisted yarn used in the production of this fabric.
