Weave

method of interlacing systems of longitudinal warp and transverse weft threads (in woven fabrics), or the interlacing of the threads of knits. Influences the elasticity, strength, touch, flow, texture, insulating properties and overall look of a textile fabric. The basic w. are linen, twill and satin. In addition to these we distinguish between many derived and combined w. The basic knitted w. include weft knit and warp knit in one-face and reversible renderings.
