Woolmark; Combi-Woolmark; woolmark

international registered trademark of quality, which is awarded by the International Wool Secretariat (IWS) to woollen fabrics, knits, knitted yarns, ladies' and men's clothing, carpets and blankets. It is a guarantee of quality, governed by norms. One of its indicators is a 100% pure staple content in hitherto unused wool. The content of non-wool, effect, visible fibres may not exceed 5%. Also tested is colour-fastness. Products which meet the requirements set by the tests are permitted to be display the Woolmark label.
